Episode Seven misses many golden opportunities in its rush to resolve its latest conflict.
The main issue is Comics Club’s continued status as a major club. This is a real-life issue in a show with a lot of outlandish plot points, and I appreciate that element. Three key issues are lack of membership, lack of proper paperwork, and lack of teacher sponsors. Of these, I would like to address the issue of low membership first and involve getting to know new students and maybe trying to interact with other kids who aren’t as invested in it. role play Scene/Lifestyle. Considering every character we’ve met so far is fully and enthusiastically engaged in role-playing, it could add some texture to the interactions.
Instead, the episode revolves around Mayuri becoming a club sponsor. Of course, that’s fine, because it’s a problem that needs to be dealt with. My problem is Mayuri is also a huge role play fan, she herself was deeply involved in the scene and was already Ririsa’s secret super fan. This looks like a lot of missed opportunities in a row. This would have been a perfect opportunity for children to explain to their teachers why they are so passionate about their hobby, what it means to them, how it connects them to others, etc. It would be nice to have a teacher who is unwilling or doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about, but slowly understands and appreciates what the club is trying to achieve. Instead, Mayrui could be just another student because of all her behaviors. In theory, there is some conflict with her exit. role play Life, maybe there is a chance to turn things around. Still, things could get more interesting in the future, so I’ll hold out hope.
