One of the things about romance novels is that we often see the point of view of both spouses. (Or all aspects, if it’s a multi-party romance.) It’s always a nice touch, and often helpful, but rarely do I feel it’s as necessary as it was in this week’s episode. Twilight out of focus When we finally get inside Rei’s head. When it comes to his relationship with Yoshino, he comes across as someone who goes by his gut – like he’s just dating Yoshino because it seems easy and maybe fun. Yoshino is portrayed as the more devoted of the two, which leaves me with lukewarm feelings about them as a couple.
Now, however, we see the other side of the story. It turns out, Rey did She fell into their relationship in the heat of the moment. Yoshino is fun and not lacking in charm, so why not give it a try? There’s a feeling that this is where Ray ended up in all of his previous relationships, which may be where the idea of him being a garbage person comes from. All of his partners were more invested in their relationships than he was, which led to him coming across as cold, uncaring, or perhaps just in it for sex. Yoshino is so into things that Rei looks even worse. But what even he doesn’t know is that this time Rey’s situation is different, and the unthinkable happens: he falls in love with his boyfriend.
Considering the difficulty he had in solving the problem, this seemed like a first for him. When he started to have an uncomfortable feeling that he might have been abandoned – Yoshino have Suddenly he wasn’t clingy anymore – at first he thought he was just sorry he didn’t sleep with the guy. But like many romantic heroes before him, he’s likely confusing sex with emotion, for example, thinking it’s just lust, but oops! It looks like he may have accidentally left and fallen in love. It’s one of the hottest romance movies out there, and this episode does it particularly well. Ray moping around school while his friends look fascinated and concerned shows how out of his comfort zone he is – and he’s shocked when he realizes that Jin and Ichikawa are dating, This fact shocked him more than anything. He has stated many times that he and Jin have known each other since childhood and have determined that Rei is one of the few people who can see through Jin’s appearance. That he didn’t notice Jin was in love speaks volumes about how trapped Rei is in her own head – which is real Bring him out of his coma. The fact that Jin immediately realizes that Rei is in love can only be the lemonade on that particular cutout.
We know that when Rei is interested in something, he puts his heart and soul into it, and boy, is Yoshino a quick study. Rei suddenly realizes her feelings, opening the door for their relationship to heat up Very Soon, many, many honors were given to Eguchi TakuyaA whisper of stunning resonance, resulting in several scenes. The climax of this arc isn’t about sex, it’s about how Yoshino and Rei finally let it all out: Yoshino’s poetry, Rei’s emotional needs, and how both confessions help them become stronger as a couple. Rei recounted all the preparations he had made for the night together, which was both very much his own and a bit funny as he worked very hard to make sure all eventualities were covered. Now that he already has Yoshino, he doesn’t want to lose him again. While this may become a problem later, the beauty of romance novels is that the story usually ends at a peak of happiness. We will save ourselves the worries of tomorrow.
