This specialty restaurant offers complete privacy, with live crabs and crab dishes prepared and served right before your eyes by a private chef. Not only can you taste crab claws and shells, but you can also taste rare parts such as abdominal muscles and hearts that can only be tasted from live crabs. These crabs can be prepared sashimi, poached (rare, medium, well-done) or grilled, with optimal cooking methods used for each part to ensure you enjoy the whole crab without wastage.
At Kanijennu Kita no Hanare, you can not only taste Hokkaido’s unique king crab and horsehair crab, but also enjoy the seasonal flavors of Hokkaido. In winter, you can taste “golden crab”, an extremely rare delicacy with a catch rate of only one in a thousand. Pair it with crab sake made from boiled grilled crab shells for a unique gastronomic experience at Kanijennu Kita no Hanare. The crabs we offer are shipped directly from the fishery on the same day they are caught, ensuring the same freshness as in the country of origin.
