Revealed less than 24 hours ago, Elden Ring: night rain The first online test has been announced, allowing players to get their hands on the online multiplayer spin-off. Testing will take place in early 2025, with registration opening next month.
“Web testing is an initial validation test where selected testers play a portion of the game before the full game is released,” Bandai Namco website announcement read. “Various technical verifications of the online system will be tested through large-scale network load testing.” PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players will register on January 10, and testing will begin in February.

Although FromSoftware doesn’t explicitly call it a roguelike, the action role-playing game will revolve around individual play, exploring a world with a day and night cycle and randomized environments and encounters, with boss battles intensifying as the game progresses.
As players’ characters progress with each run, they can also unlock permanent stat bonuses that carry over between runs. The game’s first trailer also showed combat that was more stylized than the original game, with characters’ movements being faster and more complex. We’ll see how this all works in practice once the first network test goes live in February.
Although Elden Ring: Night Walk Game testing will only take place on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the game also coming to PS4 and Xbox One (as well as PC) when it becomes generally available next year. Although officially continued Eldon Ring series, FromSoftware says it currently has no plans to release a direct sequel to the 2022 game anytime soon.
