Start the new year with a new playlist to listen to as you experience the highs and lows of virtual football. The soundtrack for EA Sports FC 25 has been revealed, and veterans, unfinished veterans, and non-veterans alike are currently busy giving in their two cents to see if it has enough of what they deem to be an indie musical element .
You can find the full tracklist on Spotify, and EA has also provided a graphic outlining it, which you can check out below. This year’s collection includes 117 songs, three of which will be available via post-launch updates, “highlighting an eclectic mix of genres,” the developers said.

“FC 25 is a global celebration of new music that erases borders, embraces multiple genres and delivers many surprises,” said Steve Schnur, EA global executive and president of music. “The EA Music team has spent nearly a year curating an epic soundtrack that will define the sound of the next season and elevate the spirit of the game like never before. “
As you can see below, the list of big names you’ll hear about as you inevitably try to recover from the heartbreak of losing on penalties or not getting the player you wanted includes Kasabian, Charli xcx and Billie Eilish. J Balvin and Ice Spice are also among them. Meanwhile, an as-yet-unreleased song from Coldplay helps fill the bland white quota, along with songs from Delfina Dib, FKA Twigs and Catfish and the Bottlemen.
How do fans feel about this atmosphere? Well, on Twitter and Reddit, there seems to be the usual split verdict. A lot of people discovered artists there that they were excited to see and thought the mix of big name stars and earworms from more obscure acts was well settled. Others have been yearning for soundtracks from years past, which they considered more indie music, even if there was never 100% Blur’s Song 2, The Hoosiers’ Goodbye Mr A or Caesars’ Jerk It Out.
To be fair, you can never please everyone, especially if they are too busy listening to someone else play guitar to listen to you. Let us know what you think of this year’s soundtrack below.
EA also recently announced the list of EA Sports FC 25’s top-rated players and new icons, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t already, as well as our interview with producer Sam Rivera about the future of the series.
