Fans of Mickey and the Friends are in for a special Christmas gift!
Everyone’s favorite mouse is heading to the basketball court for the first live NBA animated presentation. The New York Knicks will take on the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, January 25 at noon ET at Madison Square Garden. In this event, the arena will be transformed into the Main Street of Disney World in the United States, and players will transform into iconic Disney characters through 3D animation.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale will take to the court as NBA players, passing, dribbling and dunking. Disney characters will give speeches before and at halftime, host a halftime dunk contest and decorate Christmas trees during the game. The game’s animations come from Sony’s Beyond Sports real-time visualization engine and Hawk-Eye Innovations’ optical tracking technology.
