Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade roundup for July 12, 2024. There are three new games launching today, all of which start with the letter D purely by accident. Some new Nintendo Switch Online retro games no one will call before they launch. There are also cute promotions that we all love spending money on. It was a quiet way to end things on Friday, but that’s as good as it gets. Let’s go to the weekend together!

    message

Starfy is now available on the Game Boy Advance app for Nintendo Switch Online

Another unexpected game drop for the Nintendo Switch Online retro app, this time for the Game Boy Advance library of expansion packs. The game is unusual in that it consists of three games that have so far not been released outside of Japan. You may remember that the Nintendo DS released a game called The legendary star flight. Well, this isn’t the first game in the series, but the fifth. Now we can play with the first three Staffy The game is available on Nintendo Switch Online, although not a single word has been translated from the original version. The fourth one is a Nintendo DS game, so… you’ll have to wait. These aren’t the most story-telling things, but I admit it’s a little weird to see them released as is. Enjoy exploring them!

    Select new version

    Age of Death ($4.99)

There’s some nice pixel art in here, that’s all I’ll say. Anyway, a side-scrolling action platformer. Run, jump and shoot. I wish it was as good as it looks, but it lives up to the energy of a five-dollar platformer it exudes. It’s definitely rough around the edges, but you can have some fun with it.

    Over ($24.99)

This is Red. Deer, so as usual wait for sales to bring it down to its predetermined list price. By the time you read this, it may have already started. Other than that, this is a really fun puzzle/adventure game. You control two characters, each with their own abilities, and navigate your way through forty levels filled with traps, puzzles, and enemies. As you go, there are new tricks to keep things fresh.

    Disaster Band ($9.99)

A silly little rhythm game for up to four players, played via online multiplayer. You don’t have to play to the music, but you can if you want. You have the freedom to improvise however you want and create your own dissonant sounds because the audio actually matches what you’re doing. Look, I don’t know if this is good, but it might be a good laugh if you need it.

    sales volume

    (North American e-store, US prices)

If you want to shoot zombies then you are in luck today. rebellious zombie army Games on Switch have never been cheaper, so buy them if you want them. You can’t go wrong with puzzle games like Draknek & Friends either, including games like Monster’s Expedition and sokobond. I will always recommend Alva’s Game, I would do it again here. In your inbox, the latest ININ promotion is about to end. It includes some great Taito games and more, so take a look.

I finally finished that big project I was working on over the weekend, so I’ll have a slightly lazy one this time. I mean, I still have a lot of comments to do, but that’s just the usual thing. I hope you all have a great weekend, and as always, thank you for reading!
