Dogecoin will power a range of upcoming mobile games, one of the most structured attempts to not yet give cryptocurrencies.
A total of 15 casual games are expected to be launched by the end of 2025, with the first release to be released in August. The game will be built on Dogeos, a new infrastructure layer on the Dogecoin blockchain and published by Playays, a company that localizes and distributes mobile games internationally.
The initiative will allow players to earn Dogecoin through in-game activities, while certain projects and visual features will be traded as Dogecoin-nfts NFTs (called Doginals). The game will be available through the Mydoge Wallet and PlaySout apps and may be expanded to other platforms in the future.

What is multi-cover?
Dogeos is an application layer built on top of the Dogecoin blockchain. It is compatible with EVM, which means it can support applications similar to other Ethereum-based applications.
Currently in the testnet phase, Dogeos aims to make it easier for developers to use Dogecoin as the underlying network to build games and other applications.
The platform will serve as the basis for an upcoming series of mini-games, thus providing features such as token rewards, project tracking, and basic interoperability between titles.

What is a competition?
PlaySout is a mini-game publisher that works with developers (mostly those who publish successful games on platforms like WeChat) and adapts these games for Western and international audiences. Its work often includes translation, name change and distribution on mobile applications and messaging platforms.
For this project, Playout will localize the game and integrate Dogecoin-related visuals, including elements related to the original Doge Meme.
The publisher also said it is seeking a licensing agreement to incorporate well-known characters and franchises into future game versions and is expected to release an announcement later in 2025.

What do we expect from these games?
The upcoming games will fall into the “supermarket” category, ranging from puzzles and simulations to role-playing genres. They are designed to be accessible and require little onboarding or prior experience.
Players will be able to earn Dogecoin by participating in game events, challenges and rankings. Some games will also include items from collectible games that may be cast as Doginals, i.e. nfts running on the Dogecoin network. Although the full scope of this feature has not been confirmed, these assets may be traded in different games.
The first title is expected to launch in August via Mydoge Wallet and play its own app. Further releases are planned throughout the year, and publishers have shown that future development can be adjusted based on user feedback and performance metrics.
