Invincible fans might think they know what’s going to happen in season three based on what happened in the comics, but it sounds like they won’t know everything.
So far, the animated adaptation of Invincible has matched almost exactly what happened in the comics. But according to comic co-creator and show creator Robert Kirkman, you shouldn’t expect too much from what’s going to happen in the show’s upcoming third season. During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con (via Popverse), while answering a fan’s question about season three, Kirkman said: “Do you assume that you know what’s going to happen next season based on your knowledge of the comic book series? ?You sometimes you’re a little surprised and sometimes you’re disappointed.

During Comic-Con, people got their first look at Invincible’s new suit, with the blue and black suit signaling that Mark is about to enter a new era of superheroes. “Definitely not going to get scratched or covered in blood…” a sarcastic description on Invincible’s official Twitter account.
Not much is known about season three at the moment, especially the lack of any concrete release date. The first half of season two will air in 2023 and the second half will end in 2024, a move that isn’t particularly popular with fans, although Kirkman knows it isn’t.
It was announced during Comic-Con that the show has also been renewed for a fourth season, but considering that season 3 isn’t coming out until next year at the earliest, I certainly wouldn’t expect it to be around for a long time.
At the very least, Kirkman did spend a lot of time promoting Season 3, saying, “Every episode has something big, every episode has a huge conclusion, some kind of huge character or story twist. The evolution. Sounds like you have a lot to look forward to!
