On November 22, Disney confirmed the rumors on the Internet and announced Plans to officially close Muppet Garden and the Muppet*Vision 3D attraction, both located in the same area of Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando. Muppet*Vision3D has been around since 1991.
“Yes, humans will be able to enter monsters inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” Disney announced.

In a blog post announcing the newsDisney confirmed it is working on ways to “protect [Muppet*Vision 3D] movie” and other parts of the show so that fans can “enjoy” it all in the future.
“Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more friends will make their way down the Sunset Strip to make way for the monsters,” Disney said.
What this essentially means is that the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which opened at Hollywood Studios in 1999, will be re-themed as a Muppet ride, starring various characters from the series. Goodbye, Aerosmith, the band that has been affiliated with the ride since it opened. Apparently, Disney also plans to have “music’s biggest stars” collaborate with the Muppets, but no details were revealed about what that would entail.
As with any change at Disneyland, there are some people online who are both excited and grumbling. Many older fans are displeased with Disney removing more of the park’s history and replacing it with more movie tie-in rides and areas.
