From juicy stills to one of the most exciting trailers of the season, Discovery Season 2 is about to hit theaters, and it all starts with the season premiere that has us holding our breath in anticipation of what’s to come.
After all, Discovery leaves us with a cliffhanger that is the epitome of a game changer.
A Broken Home; Mosely & Associates at the Butcher Shop
Secrets, secrets are no fun, especially when they tear apart the family you find yourself in.
Gabby’s secret about what she did with her husband has definitely torn her family apart.
In the season premiere, everyone is still shocked by her admission and the fate of the company hangs in the balance.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the opening sequence suggests that the company as we know it is at a crossroads, and that Gabby must figure out where she thinks the company she’s working for is headed.
Sadly, after she was admitted to hospital, no one trusted her anymore and they judged her.
But what’s interesting is that not only do we have characters like Maggie and Zeke dealing with the horrific news of Gabi’s actions, but Dan is also in a difficult position.
As the person Gabi recruited to help her capture Mister, and the one who discovered what she had been doing with the man for nine months, Dan’s loyalty to Gabi could easily be read as disloyalty to someone else.
The team is in tatters.
Dan is equally annoyed with Gabby, but is still willing to take her side when others may be less willing to do so.
This drives a wedge between Gabby and the rest of the team, and between Dan and the others.
Will trauma and tragedy bring the team together or spark more resentment and anger?
Lacey’s disappearance has the power to bring the team together after Gabby’s revelation.
However, it could also further divide the team.
When the news about Lacey broke, it was unlikely that others wouldn’t blame Gabby entirely for what happened.
It’s understandable that they do this.
If Gabi hadn’t imprisoned Mr. and goaded him in some way, he probably wouldn’t have tracked down Lacey on his own and done something with her.
But whether the team blames Gabby or not, they can’t be harsher on her than they are on herself, and that’s probably the worst part.
We have to pray that these people can somehow forgive and come together for their own sake in Discovery Season 2.
Sir is on the loose and he’s ready to play
Sir, How to Get Away with Murder is another game-changer for the series.
Even aside from the fact that he’s clearly possessed Lacey, he’s determined to play games with Gabi and enjoys getting into her head.
It looks like the hour might focus on everyone trying to find Lacey.
However, to do this, they need to find Mr., and he’s not easy to find.
It took a long time for Dhan to find Sir the first time, so given the circumstances, Sir will learn from his mistakes and be better than ever at only making himself available if he wants to And be known.
The trailer certainly shows that Sir is going to make a name for himself in his own way, and that he plans to play a game of cat and mouse with Gabi, as his obsession with her won’t keep him away for long.
Will Finding Lacey force Gabi to tell Trent the truth in Finding Lacey Season 2 Episode 1?
Another aspect of Lacey’s disappearance is that she had to involve the police.
We know Trent will definitely follow in Gabi’s footsteps, and he has a vested interest in helping her in any way he can.
But does that mean Gabi has to confess to him about Mister, what she’s been up to, and how she instigated Lacey’s kidnapping?
Gabby is already hell-bent on telling the truth, which leads one to believe that she will have to confess to Trent at some point.
Yet if she admits her guilt and Trent, that noble officer, feels morally obligated to bring her to justice, what does that mean for the future?
Hopefully the season premiere will address that, and based on Trent and Gabby’s awesome interaction in the trailer, we know it will come up at some point.
Gabby has a hard time controlling how much information she gives Trent because what she does and doesn’t tell him could be a matter of life or death for Lacey.
The key to finding Lacey may lie in her past
Interestingly, the synopsis hints that there will be a flashback to Lacey’s childhood in the season premiere.
One can only assume they will connect with her time in captivity to learn about Sir, where he took her, and the best way to find her.
Or maybe they would have led to Jazz kidnapping her in the first place.
Still, we experienced many flashbacks to Gabby’s past, which often included Lacey.
It’s a refreshing change and harkens back to Lacey’s past.
Does this mean it’s possible the series may choose to explore other characters’ pasts as well?
Lacey might not be the only one in danger in Discovery Season 1
One of the most unnerving stills released by NBC shows Zeke lying on the ground in the middle of his apartment.
In another photo, Dan is there and appears to be performing CPR, suggesting something terrible happened at Zeke.
We also see a number of images of police officers appearing to be searching a location, including at one point staring into the trunk of a car.
It’s possible that Gabby is also on a case while searching for Lacey, but it’s more likely that whatever she, the team, Shaq, and Trent are looking for has something to do with Jazz and Lacey.
Mr. If may have nefarious plans for more than one person in Gabby’s life.
We’ll have to see if that’s the case when the season premieres.
“Found” will air on October 3 at 10/9c on NBC.
