Shut up everyone, Cate Blanchett is on TV.
The upcoming seven-episode Apple TV+ series is written and directed by Alfonso Cuaron and based on the novel by Rene Knight Disclaimer Full Thriller Mode starring Blanchett and Kevin Kline – we’ve got a trailer too.
Blanchett plays acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft. When Catherine receives a mysterious novel from an anonymous author, her story is built from secrets from her past, she realizes she needs to find out who’s behind it all before her family, colleagues, and readers find out. This isn’t a beach read, we can tell you that much.
Sacha Baron Cohen makes a rare dramatic appearance as Catherine’s husband Robert, while Kodi Smit-McPhee plays her son Nicholas . The cast also includes Leslie Manville, Huo Yan, Louise Partridge and Leila George.
