Brzrkr movie based Keanu Reeves Comics and directors are closer to reality Justin Lin (Fast and Fierce Series) Connect to Netflix directly.
Mattson Tomlin (Batman 2) wrote the script. Reeves, Prosperity Studio Stephen Christycompany movie Stephen Hamel and Ross Ridge Listed as producer.
Brzrkr starts his life with the Kickstarter comic published by Boom! Studio, Reeves’s Story and Matt Gent and art Ron Garney. Kickstarter raised $1.4 million, sold more than 600,000 copies in the first issue, and more than 3.5 million copies of the entire series and collection. It has also been adapted into a novel Miville, China And planned anime spin-offs and luxurious statues. It’s been a long way, but until it’s a movie, no one will take a break!
This story is described as tough, involving B, the immortal warrior and an 80,000-year journey. “The man who is only called B is half, half-god, cursed and forced to suffer violence…even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the whole world for centuries, Brzrkr may finally find a refuge – to fight against anyone else for the U.S. government.”
It sounds like Lin, who directed no less than five fast and passion films, as well as Star Trek’s Beyond. There are rumors that he has been associated with various comic book movies over the years, including Tom Dutch Spider-Man and a Boxer – but this is his first actual movie in the genre. Reeves and Lin worked together in Lin’s independent film The Doomsday, and Reeves helped with the funding, so there was a good connection there.
As we pointed out before, many celebrities have launched comic projects before, but BRZRKR is by far the most successful and probably just the first to jump on a movie. It’s a huge honor for how Boom handles the project…and Reeves’ commitment to it. Of course, there is still a long journey for advice on your screen on Netflix, but your fingers crossed.
