Destiny 2 Vantage Point God Roll – Best Perks and How to Get It

While a few other guns in the Destiny 2 episode: Revenant are more eye-catching, such as the Exuviae and Liturgy, the Adaptive Frame Arc Pulse Rifle Vantage Point you can get from the episode is pretty good too. Its divine die makes it a well-rounded weapon in PvE, and works well with Arc builds that focus on delivering shock to enemies, keeping them powered up while keeping their own buffs.

How to get a vantage point

The Revenant weapons can now be earned by playing the main attraction of the episode, the wave-based Onslaught: Redemption mode. Undead Guns (including Vantage Points) are randomly dropped after completing specific waves and receiving reward chests.

However, the equipment that comes out of these chests is randomized, so while you may gain vantage points, you may also pull other weapons or armor. The best way to get the guns you want is to “tweak” your rewards using the Revenant’s replenishment system. You can craft and use Condensed Tonics, which will increase your chances of getting certain drops while playing Onslaught: Redemption, making it easier to get the guns and scrolls you want. Check out our supplement guide to learn more.

You’ll also get a roll of High Ground as a reward for completing The Revenant’s Act 1 story mission.

    • bucket: Arrow broken
    • Magazine: Tactical Magazine
      • Reload speed +10, stability +5, magazine +3
    • First benefit: keep away
      • Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no enemies are nearby.
    • Second benefit: Vibration feedback
      • Repeated damage dealt with this weapon causes shock.
    • masterpiece: Reloading speed

Vantage Point is a great addition to an Arc build due to shock feedback, which is probably the main benefit you’re looking for in a weapon. It allows you to easily inflict shock on any enemy you shoot at, which also means that Vantage Point is great for maintaining amplified buffs if you’re using arc or prism pillar types.

“Stay away” is also good because you’ll almost always be using your pulse rifle from far away, so you’ll get these benefits almost constantly. For a build that’s less focused on arc synergy, Stats for All and One for All are good options, but the best use of High Ground is to take advantage of having the shake down all the time.

    • bucket: small diameter
    • Magazine: Exact round
    • First benefit: keep away
      • Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no enemies are nearby.
    • Second benefit: Headhunter/Desperado
      • Headhunter: Body shots with this weapon increase Precision Damage and Aim Assist for a short time. Body shots will refresh the time when the skill is activated.
      • Desperado: Reloading after a precise final hit increases your rate of fire.
    • masterpiece: Stablize

Vantage Point is mediocre in PvE, but still reliable here. Range and stability are important statistics for the Pulse Rifle in the Crucible, ensuring your bullets hit targets more reliably at longer ranges. Keeping your distance is still a good option here, as you’ll gain buffs in many situations, and Headhunter will increase your precision damage. The Desperado is also a useful option, although it requires killing the Headhunter, which the Headhunter does not.
