It was inevitable, and now it’s happened: Deadpool and Wolverine has officially surpassed $1 billion at the global box office. The Marvel movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman had another successful weekend, taking in $1.029 billion at the global box office. According to Variety, this includes US$494.3 million from North America and US$535.1 million from international markets.

This is the second movie to hit $1 billion at the box office in 2024, after Pixar’s “Inside Out”; this movie, like “Deadpool and Wolverine,” belongs to Disney.

“Deadpool and Wolverine” should soon surpass 2019’s “Joker” ($1.07 billion) as the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever.

According to Variety, “Deadpool and Wolverine” has now become the 11th movie in the Marvel Universe to exceed $1 billion at the box office, and the 31st Disney movie to break this box office record.

In other news, it was recently revealed that Deadpool and Wolverine might have featured Robert Downey Jr. and other members of the Avengers, but those plans ultimately fell through.

a movie no It was the Borderlands movie that was such a hit at the box office. The film was released last weekend but has lagged far behind at the box office so far, making it one of the biggest box office bombs of 2024 so far.
