Guinness World Records has announced that Blade actor Wesley Snipes currently holds the world record for the longest career as a live-action Marvel character.
Jackman’s record as Wolverine lasted for 24 years. He first played Logan in 2000’s “X-Men.” Wesley Snipes first played the character in 1998’s “Blade,” so when he appeared in “Deadpool vs. Wolverine,” he shortened the 26-year gap.
Speaking of gaps, Snipes also broke the record for the longest gap between character appearances in a Marvel movie, with Deadpool and Wolverine in 2004’s Blade: Trinity (also starring Ryan Reynolds) at 19 years and zero years. Released in 231 days.
