Netflix has decided to cancel Dead Boy Detective , the DC Comics-inspired series, after just one season. The decision comes four months after the show’s first and only season premiered on April 25.
The series is inspired by the DC Comics characters created by Neil Gaiman, Matt Wagner and Malcolm Jones III, and stars George Rextruth and Jaden Revrey as Edwin Payne and Charles W. Roland. These two teenagers, born in different eras, meet in the afterlife and form an indissoluble bond while solving mysteries together. The heart and soul of the Dead Boys Detective Agency, Edwin and Charles are willing to do whatever it takes to keep it together, even if it means escaping an evil witch, hell, and death itself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal (Cassius Nielsen) and her friend Nico (Yuyu Kitamura), they solve some of the most puzzling supernatural cases in the mortal world.
