In a few months, DC Comics will launch a new series of comics under the All In banner. The biggest draw is the all-new Absolute Universe, but the main DC Universe will be helmed by a new creative team and, in some cases, entirely new books will join the lineup.
DC has launched four new comics centered on beloved heroes Batgirl (Cassandra Cain), Black Canary and The Question (Renee Montoya). The former comes from Tate Brombal (slaughterhouse) and Takeshi Miyazawa (silk), and sees Cass fight off a random assassin attack, which leads her to join forces with her mother, Lady Shiva. Teaming up is their only option, and the ongoing comic, which Brombal has dubbed a “jaw-dropping, martial arts-filled adventure,” celebrates the character’s 25th anniversary. This is Cass’ first solo project as Batgirl in quite some time, with Brombart teasing that she’ll be “kicking ass like only Cass can.” […] The world won’t know what hit it.
Next up is Tom King and Ryan Suk Black Canary: The best of the best Dinah will compete with Shiva to determine who is the better warrior. As she works her way up to the game, she’ll learn some new moves from her mother, as well as fighters like Batman and Wildcat. King further hyped the six-issue book, calling it a “gorgeous, epic, heartbreaking, heartwarming miniseries that focuses on what’s unique and special about Dinah.”
I have to show off. Ryan Sook created some spectacular, visceral, flawless line art for Black Canary: The Best. Sook is responsible for every page of every issue. Very proud of this book. November 27 – Black Canary Wednesday. pic.twitter.com/pDJIyT3wKE

Question: Along the Watchtower Author: Alex Segura (secret identity) and Sian Twomey (injustice) has Renee doing detective work aboard Justice League’s titular space station. Set later absolute power, Trinity calls upon her to investigate murder in a noir tale inspired by classics like Sherlock and Agatha Christie, as well as more modern murder mysteries. In an interview with Polygon, Segura listed writers such as Walter Mosely, Laura Lippman and George Pelecanos as other influences. But as far as comics are concerned, he attributes Renee’s success to key figures like her co-creator Danny O’Neal, writer Greg Rucka, and artists Dennis Cowan and Kali Hamner.
“I took to heart the story they told Renee, and we see her trying her best to overcome her inner demons and do the right thing,” he explained. For him, Renee will be “walking among a team of god-like heroes,” like in a superhero mystery Batman: The Long Halloweenbut on a “larger, more surreal stage” in “Watchtower.” Twomey said the station will “be as much a character as Renee herself. […] Trust me, a lot of thought went into the background that you can’t see with all that blood and shadows!
at last, black lightning Author: Brandon Thomas (black manta ray) and Fico Osio (Mister Miracle: Source of Freedom) puts Jefferson Pierce and his daughter Jennifer (The Flash) in charge of the Justice League’s new outreach program against metahumans. Not long after his daughter Anissa seeks help from the new Thunder Force, a new version of the Master of Disaster suddenly appears in Metropolis’s suicide slums, and it’s up to the Pierces to stop it all. Thomas told ComicsBeat: “As the Pierce family struggles to hold everything together, a mysterious rival consolidates power and legitimacy, weaponizes public sentiment, claims ‘Waller is right,’ and fears the powers that be.” Crazy gods.
batgirl Will begin on November 6th, followed by five installments black lightning The week following November 13th. Black Canary: The best of the best The six-issue story will begin on November 27. Question: Along the Watchtower.
