Despite Diamond Comics Distributors filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, this year’s Free Comics Day is still scheduled for Saturday, May 3. The titles for DC Free Comic Book Day 2025 were announced today. According to the publisher, the books will showcase “their 2025 All In publishing plan as well as two new original graphic novels for beginning and intermediate readers.”
Fans will recall that last October, the publisher released DC All Inclusive Special Offer A one-off page-turner that served as the launching pad for the “All In” project and Absolute DC. After an initial success, publishers began using the flip book format to produce DC All In/Absolute Universe 2025 FCBD Special Edition #1. As announced earlier today, writers Dan Castle Artists join Rafael Albuquerque and colorist Marcelo Maiolo New ones are being launched Superman Unlimited Ongoing series. DC’s FCBD Special Edition will serve as the “Zero Issue” installment of the series, which DC teases is “a prelude to the biggest Superman comic adventure of the year, and an ominous new threat from Heaven that will change the course of Krypton on Earth” life on.
On the other hand, DC’s hugely successful Absolute Universe gets spotlight in writer’s new story Jeff Lemire and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi.

On the young readers side, the 2025 DC Free Comics Day program will include previews of upcoming DC graphic novels. along with James Gunn– Guidance superman With the movie set to be released in July, it’s no surprise that DC is pushing forward with publishing plans for “Summer of Superman.” For example, young readers can look forward to Superman’s gang of good guys graphic novel from Rob Justus.
