When I came out as a trans person, the comic community was full of love and support. It was unexpected and so exact to be asked to contribute to this anthology. I’ve done a lot of cool things in my 50+ years of comics and this story is one of the things I’m most proud of. I see myself in this story, and I wish I could see my own things.
This story is a story that vividly brings readers to life by Sara Soler’s extraordinary art, which invites readers to a journey of deep personal and broad relevance that bridges human transformation, resilience and belonging. Soler’s style beautifully captures the essence of Blake’s narrative, creating perfect harmony between words and visual effects.

Jude Ellison S. DC Pride 2025. “These characters live inherently in the community, the universe and out and are kept alive by the community of fans and readers who maintain their existence. So it feels very healing and right to sit with a group of queer comic creators and build a story about queer superheroes.”
“Growing up, I was a DC Comic fan,” Maya Houston continued. “Once I realized my queerness and found the community in this identity, seeing me grow up, the heroes of love with loved ones and my own lives became even more exciting. It shows that we don’t need a cloak to feel victorious. DC Pride This is so important because it can celebrate the LGBTQ+ experience. ”
“It’s really an honor to work with these talented, passionate creators and tell stories that celebrate our community,” added Josh Trujillo. “I’m out there, with few mainstream queer superheroes, so I can’t exaggerate it.” DC Pride Meaning to me. All of the people in this book are fortunately based on the hard work of previous queer creators. I hope we can move the needle together to expand the meaning of it in the DC universe. ”
“Oh man, when I say: Every reader should see his record in the comics!” said Tim Sheridan. And if pride represents anything, it should represent our resilience in the face of uncertainty, anxiety and hatred, and for heroes, around and in the mirror, they keep moving forward despite that. This year’s story (for the first time, a large, unified story) will ignore our things because we will ignore everything because we will ignore everyone because we will not want to, if we will make no sense, then, if we will make no sense, and we will get no sense, and we will get no sense, and we will get no sense, and we will get no sense, and we will get no sense. Including our anxiety and fear is to have all the thoughts, even the darker things that will lead us through now.
