Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 5/8/24 promise that Jack and Chad will make a shocking discovery in Poplar Bluff.
Their search for Abigail still seems foolish, or at least based on the weakest of evidence. All they had was a video that randomly showed a woman with a similar hairstyle to Abigail from behind.
Still, they have to start somewhere, and even if that woman isn’t Abigail, they might end up saving a kidnapping victim. It didn’t make sense that Clyde would lead them to other hostages they didn’t know were missing, but anything was possible in Salem.
Abigail’s mystery won’t end anytime soon

Days of Our Lives doesn’t usually resolve stories quickly, and this one is just getting started. Still, Chad and Jack have to make some progress, or their trip to Poplar Bluff won’t mean much.

Two spoilers related to this storyline suggest they’ll find someone in the room they broke into during Friday’s cliffhanger, but another person will be watching them.
One fan theory suggests that Jack and Chad will find Jennifer’s allegedly deceased mother, Laura Horton, whom Gwen allegedly killed more than two years ago.
It wouldn’t make any sense for Clyde to capture her, but anything is possible in Salem, and Laura’s return would be an interesting plot twist.
If Jennifer’s mother was still alive, not only would it give Jennifer a good reason to return to Salem, but it would also mean that Jack could forgive Gwen for many of her sins.
While Gwen isn’t a popular character and doesn’t add much to the show, she has been mentioned a few times recently.
Emily O’Brien’s career as Teresa is over now that she’s confessed to the kidnapping, so she can return as Gwen to deal with the consequences of Laura not being dead.

Marina sitting there worrying wasn’t going to help John get home. It would be a huge reversal of the usual Marlena/John trope if she went with Steve to find him.

Unlikely Abigail, but who is it?

The “familiar face” doesn’t have to be Abigail. Maybe others are looking for her too, or have other reasons for coming to Poplar Cliff.
Considering how disappointing Bo and Hope’s exits were last time out, it would be awesome if this was one of them, although that might be asking for too much.
Still, I’m willing to bet that there’s a random person from the past in that room, and that mysterious woman, whether she’s Abigail or not, is secretly spying on those would-be detectives.
Stephanie and Alex Bond’s latest heartbreak

Maybe it’s just me, but Stephanie’s latest boyfriend’s death is very different from Alex learning that his new bride was a gold digger and conman who deceived the world into thinking Alex was Kiriakis’s heir. of.

I would rather Stephanie ask Chad for help. Now that the love of her life is dead (assuming Everett is actually dead), she should understand why Chad doesn’t want to move on from Abigail’s death so quickly.
Unfortunately, Chad is still at Poplar Bluff, as is Alex. Let’s hope they at least stay away from sad sex!
Xander and Sarah finally get married

These two are really going to tie the knot. yeah!
However, it wouldn’t be Salem if their wedding didn’t nearly go off the rails, so there may be some drama that could be easily resolved.
Fiona and Brady pretended to be on a 12-step program but continued their alcohol-fuelled affair, so before Sarah and Xander finally said “I do” Previously, they were prime candidates for disruption and delay.

He’s a great fit, but who’s working for the audience?
Leo Stark is the perfect choice to play Body and Soul. He was so over the top, even funny at times, that his talents were wasted in newspapers.

But who works at the Salem Observer?
Sander sells his half to Jack, who immediately heads out of town with Chad to find Abigail. Everett is dead. Nicole and Eric moved to France, leaving the “whistleblower” as the only audience member.

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 5/8/24, Brady is surprised to find Tate in Salem and not at camp.
This could mean Brady is sober, at least for now. Still, if Brady is drunk and sleeping in the same bed as Fiona, Tate has no reason to listen to him (even if it’s platonic at the moment.)
This story sounds like a bunch of tired TV tropes waiting to happen. Brady might find out because he actually bumped into Tate (hopefully not drunk), or a jealous Sofia might tell him to cause trouble.
Regardless, while Tate’s carefree summer is over, his determination to be with Holly isn’t, so Brady’s disapproval will only make Tate more determined to do what he wants.
Stefan considers confessing to Gabi

Stefan confessing to Gabi was both the best idea and the worst idea.

Gabby will lose her temper and the couple may break up, at least temporarily. When Gabby gets angry, she goes into revenge mode, which isn’t good news for anyone.
Still, Salem’s secrets are always going to get out, and with Connie having the intel on it, it’s only a matter of time before Gabby learns the truth from someone else (if she doesn’t already know it).
Johnny and Chanel have a bad encounter with Connie
Will they become the latest victims of a serial killer?
Uh, no! Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 5/8/24 say Johnny and Chanel will cross paths with Connie, and it won’t be pretty.
I hate these serial killer stories. I’m still processing Paige’s needless death at the hands of Ben Weston, back in 2015!
Connie better not disturb Johnny and Chanel.
The best-case scenario is that they realize there’s something strange about Connie’s behavior. It would have been acceptable if the encounter had led to her downfall rather than the deaths of two young men who had been through enough.
