If you’ve followed my Days of Our Lives coverage over the years, you know that JJ is my favorite character. His teenage antics brought me back to the show after a decade or more away from it, so to say I was super excited would be an understatement.
Even better, he’ll team up with Holly (and possibly Steve!) to expose the truth about fake Abigail.

Is there more to this than meets the eye?
On the surface, JJ’s first spoiler sounds silly.
one of the most ridiculous things acidOne thing about Salem is that anyone who needs to officiate a wedding for plot purposes is appointed online at the last second.
Now it’s JJ’s turn, and he will arrive in Paris to marry his “sister” and brother-in-law.
While this sounds like a ridiculous use for JJ (not that I’d complain about him getting screen time…), it could be used for much more than that.
JJ, who worked undercover as a young man to infiltrate Clyde’s drug operation and arrest him for the first time, has a close relationship with his sister.
There’s no one better to secretly help expose the fake Abigail at Abigail’s wedding to Chad, and it would be even better if JJ could work with his Uncle Steve.
JJ and Holly compare notes at the reception
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 14/10/24 promise that JJ and Holly will compare notes about “Abigail’s” strange behavior.
I thought for a while that JJ needed to be in Salem because of Holly. They both had a troubled past related to drug use and were shocked when they learned that their parents had lied to them during their childhoods.
I would rather JJ and Holly’s relationship than last issue.
JJ’s mental health issues lead him to throw a chair into the window of Jack’s book after learning that his father raped his aunt and his parents kept it secret from him his entire life, so he is the best person to talk to .
He also had a close relationship with Daniel, who became his surrogate father after JJ got over his anger at Jennifer for moving on with Daniel shortly after Jack’s death.
Not only could he tell Holly some stories about the father she never knew, but he could also highlight how Nicole helped Daniel turn his life around when she helped him keep his secret after Theresa overdosed.
These two working together to expose the fake Abigail is a good start.
Sadly, no one ruined the wedding, judging by Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of October 14, 2024, so Chad and fake Abigail will get married when the truth starts to emerge .
However, if the signer on the marriage certificate is not who she claims to be, is the marriage legal?
Steve also has a plan to reveal the truth
Can he prove that fake Abigail is not his niece?
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10/14/24 promise that Steve will put a plan into motion.
It’s unclear if this plan involves JJ, but I hope so.
It’s such a shame that JJ Deveraux never got enough screen time with his Uncle Steve. Not only is Steve his father’s brother, Steve and JJ’s personalities are also very similar.
I loved the story of Steve coaching JJ on how to become a successful private investigator, although my dream job would be for JJ to take over the investigative reporting job that Abigail once did.
He is more qualified for the position than she is.
Desperate Fiona can’t stop the truth from emerging…can she?
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 14/10/24 say she makes a move on Sarah
On Friday, Sarah remembered the truth, in part because Eric confronted her.
Next, Days of Our Lives will use another of its favorite TV tropes as Fiona takes desperate action to keep Sarah quiet before Xander discovers what his mother has done.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10/14/20 also have Xander angry at Fiona, so it’s unlikely that any of Fiona’s plans will work.
Hopefully this will be more novel than suffocating Sarah with another pillow.
Eric won’t give up on solving this problem
He would talk to Brady about what might have happened that night
Eric is the hero of this story, but for a sad reason.
The writers wanted John to find out the truth, but even though the scenes were filmed months before Derek Hogestyn died, he was too ill to work.
So in this story, Eric is brought back to Salem as John’s replacement and is conducting the investigation that John would have done had Hogsteen been in better health.
Eric is convinced there’s more to the story than meets the eye, and he’ll talk to Brady about the night of the accident, and the two will brainstorm — hoping Brady doesn’t insist that Eric should let him go and let him plead guilty.
How is Sofia now?
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 14/10/24 say Sofia will save Tate in some way.
I’d love to know what this means. My guess is that she devised something to attract his attention so that he would fall in love with her.
The twisted love triangle involving Tate while Holly was in Salem was bad enough. She’s in Paris right now, so now’s not the time for Sofia to swoop in and steal Tate’s heart.
Tate should be smarter than this, too. Didn’t he remember that when he and Holly were together, Sophia flirted with him in front of Holly?
Sorry, folks, this stupid Johnny storyline isn’t over yet.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10/14/24 indicate a major misunderstanding
ah. The storyline of “Body and Soul” is terrible, no matter what happens in it.
At least Headey didn’t attempt obnoxious meta-acting, suggesting that the writers thought real actors were a huge pain in the ass, like she did last week.
Johnny’s story isn’t much better, though. He walks in on Stephanie having sex with Alex and thinks Chanel is cheating on him.
I guess he only saw Alex because Chanel is black and Stephanie is fair-skinned and she probably gets sunburned easily.
Regardless, I don’t expect him to accuse Chanel of being unfaithful. This is a story that didn’t need to happen.
