The latest superhero-meets-zombie saga, Marvel’s Zombies: Dawn of Decay has a very silly opening premise: an ailing Groot accidentally sneezes into Captain America’s face, causing the end of the world. Written by Tom Krajewski And by Jason Moore, This Marvel Zombies story will test the bonds of friendship as Hulk and Groot are the last two standing against a sea of zombie Avengers.

A new zombie virus has been released…Groot is Patient Zero! Groot is feeling terrible – not only is Team Rocket’s latest plan putting them firmly in the Avengers’ crosshairs, but he’s just sick! Juicy nose and all. However, after an ill-timed sneeze in Captain America’s face, things went from bad to apocalyptic! Suddenly, Groot is attacked by a horde of zombie Avengers, leaving only him and the indestructible green-skinned Hulk unaffected. Now, the two heroes need to join forces and make their way through a ruined New York City to Banner’s lab in Avengers Tower to find a cure before it’s too late. But can Groot keep the heroes under control and on track, or will the Hulk unleash his deadly powers on the zombies they once called friends?
