Set in a “high reality” setting, the film tells the story of a group of alien invaders disguised as a leather-clad biker gang from the 1950s on a mission to conquer the Earth. But their ruthless plan is derailed when they encounter humanity’s most contagious disease: emotions. Blanchett will play Alpha One, the alien leader.
The project is one of the hottest new releases on sale to international buyers at next week’s American Film Market in Las Vegas. France’s mk2 Films is handling international sales for the film, and CAA Media Finance is managing North American distribution rights. Mk2, the producer of the Oscar-winning Anatomy of a Fallthe film launched pre-sales at the Cannes market earlier this year.
David Zellner and Nathan Zellner are excited about the success of their Bigfoot comedy susquish sunsetstarring Keough and Jesse Eisenberg, both unrecognizable beneath their furry costumes. Photographer Mike Gioulakis is in charge of shooting sasquatch sunsetand was the photographer for Jordan Peele us and old Director M. Night Shyamalan will be responsible for filming this project.
