Dan Fogler is about to leave the wizarding world and enter the Batcave.
this Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them The actor will play longtime “Batman” executive producer Michael Uslan in the stage adaptation of Uslan’s 2011 memoir, boy who loves batman. Nederlander Worldwide Productions is the lead producer on the film.
Published in 2019, the memoir tells the story of his origins as a comics geek, from teaching a comics class at Indiana University in Bloomington during his junior year to working in Washington, D.C., during the summer. He then went on to law school and later got a job at United Artists. Next, he was at the forefront of the rise of early comic book movies, particularly those featuring the Caped Crusader.
Uslan has been credited in every Batman-related film, including Batman-related films such as clown and justice league — since Tim Burton’s 1989 original. It all goes back to 1979, when he and former MGM executive Benjamin Melniker struck a deal to buy the film rights to “Batman” when Warner Bros. didn’t see the value in the property .
“Dan’s extraordinary talent, comedic timing, impressive stage presence and deep and passionate roots as an unabashed fan make him the obviously challenging and complex character of Michael Uslan. The perfect actor for the role,” Uslan quipped. “From the first moment Dan received the script, his approach to the material was spot-on, and I’m delighted he agreed to join us on this journey.”
The play will be performed from October 1st to November 1st. on the 10th at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida. Hopefully it will eventually be brought to Broadway.

Fogler has Broadway experience, having played William Barfée in the show 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee beeThe role earned him a Tony Award in 2005.
