The Daily Roundup you’re listening to is part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for watching. Today is the Monday premiere. The Bachelorette No. 21. We still have a lot to discuss in this regard. Talking about last night’s live broadcast, we have some prime Bachelorette news.
I have some news. The Weekly 400 podcast will launch in a few weeks. We’ll talk more about Jen’s spoilers. I got last week’s 90210 story, and we’ll get to all of that later. OK Let’s get started tonight with Jen’s season premiere. How about that? On July 8, we finally have Jen Tran, the 21st Bachelorette, even though she is the 23rd Bachelorette.
Because we have two seasons, there are two women playing The Bachelorette, Claire and Tayshia. Rachel and Gabby. So start here. Before we get into Jen’s season, I do want to talk about a lot of what I mentioned on last night’s broadcast. If you haven’t gone over to my YouTube channel and check it out, Reality, Steve YouTube, you can see me reviewing all the content showing some photos that I came up with but haven’t actually posted yet.
And then maybe there’s some other things that you might be interested in asking for everyone, but basically spoilers, I’ll cover in the second half of the guests. But one thing we talked about. It’s “The Bachelorette,” which is currently filming Jones’ season.
Since filming started on June 21st and ends today on July 8th, their filming has been going on for about three weeks. So what’s the 9th, the 17th, it’s been two and a half weeks since filming. I don’t know, I know filming ends at the end of this month. So they probably have two and a half weeks of filming left. We talked about it in the beginning because Kelsey Anderson, you know, the one who was engaged to Joey, she was very open about her dad and Mark was open to love and she wanted to meet he.
She essentially allowed him to participate in Jones season. We discussed this issue at the time. It’s just very, you know, I even said, I thought, look, I would be shocked if Mark wasn’t in a Jones season. Then we saw that he made his Instagram private two days before filming started, making everything public.
Well, I can tell you Mark this season, I mentioned this last night, I mentioned it a few weeks ago. I’m pretty sure Mark is in this season, but yeah, he is. I think one of the things is, you know, I have nothing against Marc Andreessen, you know, but it seems unfair to other people out there because the audience is already rooting for Marc Andreessen.
Who wouldn’t want him to be with Joan? If anything, I don’t think it’s going to be like Patti Smith or Matt or Patti James, Matt James’ mother, who came home the first night of the season in Gary. This is a non-factor that wouldn’t happen to Marc Anderson, but I just thought. Audiences already want him to find love.
And, you know, from a production standpoint, it makes perfect sense for him to be on this show. I understand this. I’m just saying this is what it would be like if Mark ended up with Joan. OK It was almost like an arranged marriage. I understand they have to hit it off. I know Joan has to like him and he has to like her, but when everyone in the audience wants him to end up with Joan, it’s like there’s something they can do on that show to make sure that happens.
It’s almost like a win-win because if Mark doesn’t win but he makes it to the end, then you can set them up as our next prime bachelor. You know, why didn’t you do it then? Because he would get to the end and then Joan would abandon him and everyone would feel even more sorry for him because he lost his wife.
You know, I understand it from a television perspective. He’s the guy, but I’m just saying, if you were one of the other guys in that house, you might be thinking, well, they’re obviously pushing this guy, they want him to be the winner or our next prime bachelor . and. I’m not saying it’s unfair. I’m just saying that I’m sure other people have some thoughts on Mark being on the show, especially if he ends up winning.
If he ends up winning, I’m not going to say it won’t be a great love story because I think people will absolutely pick up on it, but you know what I mean. So Mark is you know, Mark is filming The Bachelorette right now. Another thing I want to say is, I mentioned it on last night’s live broadcast.
This is something I’m really excited about, Thursday this week is podcast number three 99 and 400 and I want to do something with people who haven’t been on it before and just want to make it a big thing because not the only one is 400 Podcasts, you know, when I started this project in December of 2016, 400 Podcasts never imagined that I would reach 400 weekly podcasts, but we were also going to move to YouTube.
So not only will you see it, trust me, it’s still going to be in your Apple Podcasts feed on Thursday morning, but wherever you listen to my podcast on Thursday, it’s still going to be in your Spotify feed, and It’ll also be on YouTube so you can watch my 399 episodes of interviews with the people I’m talking to.
You’ll never see me interviewing people around me. Okay, now you have to start with episode 400. I see.
I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. Clayton Eckerd will star. Now you might be saying, oh my gosh, Steve, we’re now out of Clay shades. Let me counter that, Clayton has been doing a lot of interviews lately. You know, because the judge ruled in his favor.
This case is basically complete. Obviously the other side could find the documents and file an appeal, but no one in a million years thought they would win any appeal, except for her attorney, who, you know, lives in a different world than the rest of us, along with Laura herself . So they all thought they were going to win on appeal, but no one in the legal community who was following the case thought they had a chance of winning on appeal, but that’s neither here nor there.
Clayton has been doing a lot of interviews lately. So when I approached him, I was like, man, I want you to be on the podcast, I know you do a lot of stuff, but I want to make it different. I don’t want to sit here and rehash everything that everyone who has been following this case for a long time already knows, like what happened on the night of the 20th, you know, how it happened, you know, what did she do and what did she say?
Like, we know these emails. If you listen to me or Dave, you’ll have a pretty good idea what’s going on here. You know, the details about this case. Now, for those of you who don’t follow Dave on a daily basis or follow what’s been going on with him over the past nine months, we do talk about Laura Owens in this case, and I, on this podcast, I think probably the former 30, 40 minutes.
We talk about Laura and this case, a little bit generally. We don’t sit there and make a schedule. You know, when he was on Nick Viall’s podcast, he got to speak to a lot of people who maybe didn’t know about the case. So they went through, okay, what’s going on here? What’s going on here?
All these things. This is not that kind of interview. It’s almost like Clayton Eckerd uncensored, Clayton Eckerd unfiltered, Clayton Eckerd telling it all, it’s more about him as a person, It’s more about his mental health. You know, I’ve never had Clayton put on before, so we’ve never, I’ve never even talked to him about his season, and he’s one of the most hated Bachelors we’ve ever had because of the things he’s done Gabby, Rachel and Suzy told them all that he loved them.
And Suzy said, well, if you sleep with both of them, I have to leave. And then he ends up with Suzy because he wants to, he wants to be with her, and then they get together after the show. We talk about all this stuff, and there’s a lot of good stuff about Suzy in it, too. I just thought it was a really, really good interview.
I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. This will be next Thursday’s podcast, July 18th, but I recorded it on Friday, which I’m very proud of. Clayton thought everything was going well. Yes, you can listen to it on audio, but if you’re interested, you can also watch it on YouTube.
So sign up for my YouTube channel and subscribe, just go to YouTube, click on Reality Steve and subscribe there. You will find it. If you want to watch last night’s live broadcast, go ahead. It should obviously be on top. I think, I think you’re going to see Clayton’s side, you’re going to hear Clayton’s side in this podcast.
I just don’t think you’ve heard it yet. I think you’ll learn a lot about a person from this podcast. He takes full responsibility for the failure of his season and what he did, however. He does explain the reasons behind what he does. He wasn’t trying to make excuses. He just said, listen, you want to know what answer you want.
That’s why I do it. That’s why I say these things. Something is wrong. But if you’re wondering why, because I’m just sitting here, you know, Clayton, I haven’t been able to talk to you since your season aired. Why tell three women you love them? what’s on your mind? He answered.
Talking about Susie and their relationship, how he was mentally when the show started airing and he started to hate what he was doing. That’s coming next Thursday. So be aware of this. Obviously I’ll tell you all about this as we get closer. This podcast is brought to you by Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
