Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 seem to love a good board game. In fact, they love the game so much that an official new game from CD Projekt and Go On Board – creatively titled Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game – not only surpassed the $100,000 crowdfunding effort launched today goal and raised more than 10 times that amount.
As many CD Projekt developers have pointed out, it took the board game just 10 minutes and 4 seconds to raise $100,000, which is pretty impressive, and as of this writing, the total now stands at $1,017,379.

That’s over 1,000% of the funding goal – a concept that kind of nerve-wracks me – from over 6,300 backers. So what is the purpose of those supporters being so keen on throwing vortexes?
Well, the game’s description says this: “Bringing the experience of Cyberpunk 2077 to life, featuring key characters from the video game, including V, Judy, Panam, and Jackie.” “This cooperative story Driven tactical action game allows 1-4 players to explore “What if?” The scenario changes a key event in the game and expands into a new story spanning 13 different missions,” it added.

The crowdfunding campaign through Gamefound also brings with it a host of additional goodies and bonuses that will be unlocked if certain stretch goals are reached, including new game modes, extra weapons, some models, and new task. To be fair, they, uh, were all hit.
In case you’re wondering, you can purchase/commit to two versions of the game, the Standard Edition for $79 and the Deluxe Edition for $139 with a few extras.
