Event technology giant Cvent announced on Thursday that it has acquired Prismm, a 3D space design technology company, supporting 5,000 customers and 500,000 new events each year. This is after four acquisitions in 2024, including the September event marketing platform splash. Cvent’s main dabbling in the room chart took place in October 2018, when it received a $100 million worth of social tables.
Cvent said PRISMM procurement will help users provide users with collaborative, accurate visualization of the site space, including dynamic 3D virtual travel. The company aims to help the venue selection process through customization, which includes room layout, seating arrangements and decor.
Cvent shared plans for an ambitious collaborative room chart at a European User Conference in November. It uses 3D visualization tools in conjunction with AI to use planners to customize the display venue during the procurement process, which is bullish on planners, which is currently available to no other platform.
Prismm was launched in 2014 by current CEO Yaron Lipshitz. It is headquartered in Northern California with offices in Israel and Germany, the latter as a result of acquiring easyRAUM in 2021. The focus of the platform has evolved from a 2D floor and event planning into a 3D dynamic layout tool by 2018. During the Covid pandemic the company repurposed its 3D technology to create exVo, an immersive virtual events platform.
Nfluence Partners has served as financial advisor to the deal Prismm. The relevant parties did not disclose financial details about the transaction.
