Colin Firth (Kingsman) are negotiating to join Emily Blunt director Steven SpielbergAn untitled film project set up by Universal Pictures.
Amblin Entertainment is producing the film, and Spielberg developed the script with his longtime collaborator David Cope (jurassic park).
Deadline reported that there are currently no details about the film’s story, but it has been previously reported that Spielberg’s next film will be a “UFO movie based on his own original ideas.”
Spielberg previously reflected on his past and joked that he was interested in “scare” audiences with a new horror movie.
He said: “When I was told that I had lived my whole life because I wasn’t done yet, I panicked a little bit. I wanted to keep working. I wanted to keep learning and discovering and freaking myself out, sometimes even scaring myself. I had to Looking back at some of the early horror movies, but that’s another story.
I don’t know if this movie is going to be a sci-fi horror movie, but it would be cool if it was.
Spielberg has always been fascinated by stories about UFOs and aliens, and he directed two of the greatest science fiction films of all time: close contact of the third kind 1977 and ET 1982. world warand produced the 2002 UFO series take.
I’m curious to see what this movie will ultimately look like. The film will be released on May 15, 2026.
