For fans of his iconic USA/Syfy series “Chucky,” there was sad news late Friday Chuckyand a horror-comedy entertainment involving demons, cackling, knife-wielding dolls: Don Mancini’s show has been cancelled. That cliffhanger at the end of Season 3 is starting to seem downright timeless — even though Mancini was the one who first conceived of Chucky in 1988 children’s gameswith an important takeaway: “He’ll be back!”

Mancini’s last “Chucky” movie was released in 2017 Chucky Cult;The TV series will premiere in 2021.
“[A new movie would be an] An exciting, exciting business. “I hope we get another season of this show. I mean, I think both [the movie and the show] can happen, and they can coexist. My plan is to make this all make sense in terms of the continuity and overall mythology of the world we’re building; we’re not going to disprove anything.
When asked if a new movie would continue the plot of the TV series, Mancini said: “Or, if we have a season 4, we will continue those story threads. No matter where we end up in season 4, Movies can take over. I can’t say much because there’s actually a trickier way to make it cool. I know you have to take my statement with a grain of salt, but. It’s really amazing.
Since production on Season 4 has yet to begin, we’re hoping movie ideas will still come out on their own. The Deadline article linked to Mancini’s tweet shared a statement from the creator: “I am heartbroken by this news. Chucky It won’t be back for a fourth season, but I’m so grateful for the three wonderful years we had. I want to thank UCP/Syfy/Peacock/Eat the Cat, our amazing cast and crew in Toronto (the best in the business), and finally, a big bloody hug to our amazing fans. Your incredible #RenewChucky campaign truly warmed Chucky’s cold heart. Chucky will be back! He always comes back.
