Charter’s Spectrum TV Select cable plan will include a free ad-supported Peacock Premium subscription next year, according to reports Reuters. Meanwhile, Charter announced today that it has reached a new “multi-year agreement” with Peacock parent NBCUniversal to keep its television channels in Charter’s cable lineup.

Charter recently struck a similar deal with Disney to bundle Disney’s ad-supported Disney Plus Basic with Spectrum TV Select. (Upgrading to Spectrum TV Select Plus also adds ESPN Plus.)

It’s all part of Charter’s new hybrid bundling approach, which allows it to bundle other companies’ streaming subscriptions with its cable TV packages and even sell them to online customers as well. This allows the company to increase the value of its plans by selling customers the convenience of bundling all of its myriad streaming services into one bill. (For more background, check out Alex Cranz’s edge The story delves into Charter’s new series as cable television continues to decline.

As for the cost of the program, Charter doesn’t appear to have announced it yet. Customers who sign up for Spectrum cable service today can choose between TV Stream ($40 per month), TV Select Signature ($95 per month) or TV Select Plus ($105 per month), or choose one of two Spanish-language services, priced For $25 or $70 per month.
