In Cross Season 1, Alex Cross is back and we’re super excited about it!
Prime Video presents Cross, an adaptation of James Patterson’s prolific series. It’s a star-studded event both on and off screen.
As one of the most anticipated series of the year, we’re here to share everything you need to know about Cross and what’s to come.
Was Cross inspired by the James Patterson book series?
“Cross” is just one of many adaptations of James Patterson’s popular best-selling crime mystery series about DC detective Alex Cross.
The series was first launched in 1993, with a total of 32 novels completing the series.
It also contains two novellas and at least three spin-off books, in which Alex’s son Ali takes center stage and solves mysteries of his own.

It’s possible that Cross is an adaptation of a book in the series, or even Cross itself.
However, this is just speculation and we have yet to confirm which novel the series will be adapted from.
Will James Patterson be in Time Travel Season 1?
If you’re wary of another adaptation of the popular detective, don’t worry.
James Patterson was actively involved in the production of the show.
He serves as an executive producer and other associates for James Patterson Entertainment.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, Burn Notice’s Ben Watkins is also an EP and showrunner.
The show is produced by Skydance Television, the same company behind Reacher.
What is Time Travel Season 1 about?
Cross will focus on protagonist Alex Cross, a Metro Police Department detective and forensic psychologist.
Cross digs deep into the mindsets of killers, suspects and victims, making him a strong case solver.

According to the anchor, Cross is “brilliant, flawed, and full of contradictions.”
They also described the show as “a twisted, complex and gripping thriller.”
According to the official news website:
Cross is a crime/thriller drama that tells the story of Alex Cross, a decorated DC homicide detective and forensic psychologist. He faces a brutal serial killer who has left a trail of bodies across the city. As Alex and his partner John Sampson track the killer, a mysterious threat from Cross’ past emerges intent on destroying everything he has done to maintain his grieving family, career, and life.
Who stars in the first season of “Crossover”?
We’re ecstatic about the stellar cast of this series, especially the star who plays the eponymous character.
Hodge has quite the resume.
He has played many different roles throughout his career, from beloved TV series to blockbusters and gritty dramas.
Hodge has appeared in roles ranging from “Leverage” to DC’s “Black Adam,” “One Night in Miami,” “Underground” and “City on a Hill.”
He is an excellent actor.
We couldn’t think of anyone better to helm this series!
- Isaiah Mustafa as John Sampson
Mustafa is a former athlete turned actor who has appeared in adorable ads for Old Spice and played the beloved guardian werewolf Luke in Shadowhunters.
He will star alongside Hodge as Cross’ partner John Sampson.

It will be exciting to see him get a fresh start.

The first season of “Cross” will premiere on November 14th.
Where can I watch the first season of Time Travel?
Set to premiere on Prime Video this fall, the crime thriller is making waves and has everyone talking.
If you haven’t subscribed to the stream yet, you’d better do so now!
How many episodes are there in Cross Season 1?
Cross’ entire season consists of eight episodes.
It’s better than the three to six episode formula we usually see in crime thrillers and procedurals.
But that’s shorter than the 10 to 13 episodes we expected the series to premiere on streaming.
Hopefully Kroos will make every second of these eight seasons worth living.
Will Cross be released weekly or seasonally?
We understand that opinions on this topic may vary.
It has also been a source of discussion and often widely debated over some of the most successful series.

We wish this series would slow down a bit so we could really savor all the episodes and foster some real discussion, but that’s not the case.
For those of you who prefer to watch all seasons in one sitting, you’re in luck!
Unlike “Reacher” and “The Summer I Got Pretty,” all eight episodes of “Cross” will air on November 19.
Has Kroos renewed his contract?
If you’re not sure how much confidence the showrunners have in this series, here’s some peace of mind.
Amazon announced Cross’ renewal for a second season ahead of the series’ premiere.
Not only do we know the show will be returning for a second season, but we also know who will star alongside Hodge.
Season 2 will likely revolve around another book and bring in a new cast.
Season two will star Jeanine Mason from Roswell, New Mexico, as Rebecca, a vengeful and ambitious judge.
“Scream” legend and “Good Girls” star Matthew Lillard may play cold-blooded business tycoon Lance.
Ahsoka‘s Wes Chatham will play Donnie, a far-right military veteran and farmer.
Is there a trailer for Cross?
Yes, there’s a minute-long trailer available to watch and you’ll enjoy every second of it.
We can feel who Alex Cross is and everything he stands for.
The first words out of his mouth were: “Who are you?”
The trailer paints Alex as a doting father, a great partner, a worthy adversary, and more importantly, a brilliant detective.

We see and hear Ryan Eggold (with platinum blond hair) taunt Cross with everything he knows about the detective whose reputation precedes him.
Raids, car chases, raging fires and other moments show we’re in for a lot of action.
Lest we forget Cross is the king of mind reading, as one suspect claimed Cross couldn’t get into his head.
Do you want to know what Cross’s answer was?
“Oh, I’m definitely rent-free.”
Yes, we are definitely excited about Kroos!
We will update you on any future developments ahead of the premiere.
