They say only one truth prevails, but that’s just the way it is halloween bride? Close the case It is one of the longest-running franchise stores in Japan. It has a solid following in the US and a very…interesting history of English-language releases. I’m looking forward to seeing how this series still captures the hearts of so many people. this Close the case The movies are interesting because they’re separate from the main series, but when you consider that much of the show itself is a bunch of separate one-off mystery adventures that sporadically include characters from the show’s ever-expanding cast, then maybe These films are best called big-budget versions of one-off suspense flicks. As the series went on, the overarching mystery began to involve more characters, and the showrunners tried to include as many characters as possible. The same is true for this movie, which means people who haven’t seen the show in years will need to know about it beforehand.
This is presented in a montage at the beginning of the film, which features the iconic Close the case The theme plays in the background – as someone who grew up with early music this is quite nostalgic Funimasin release. However, it was clear that I needed to learn a lot to understand all the star actors in this movie, such as Rei Furuya and the police force detectives. In the early days of the show, the main trio forwarding the plot were Conan, his childhood sweetheart Ran, and her father Kogoro, the private detective for whom Conan worked. Ran and Kogoro are effectively sidelined in this movie, with much of the film featuring Conan working directly with the newest character introduced in the series. This makes the movie feel awkward for non-hardcore fans – but if you can get over that awkwardness, there’s a pretty exciting movie here.
Case Closed: Halloween Bride Perfectly walks the tightrope between gripping suspense and fun action. There are many beautifully animated scenes that make great use of the environments and a surprisingly large cast of characters. There are certain situations where a character will get out of trouble in a way that made me a little skeptical, but that’s only because there’s a surprisingly grounded sense of action here. The fight scenes are punchy, the chase scenes have a strong sense of urgency, and there’s nail-biting tension. The main villain in the film uses specially designed bombs, and the film does a great job of creating a sense that anything can happen. No major players die, but despite knowing this, there were still a moment or two that made me believe there would be real consequences.
It also helps that almost all of these characters have strong synergy with each other. There are many exposition scenes where the characters sit in a room and carefully examine what they’ve found, but I never found myself bored. The writing is lively and the scenes inject just the right amount of levity. You get the sense that characters like Detective Sato and Takagi care about Conan’s well-being. The villain of this movie is someone I almost immediately called out, but the way the show reveals how other characters discover they are who they are is well thought out. I’d be lying if I said the seeds of the corollary weren’t there by the end of the climax – which features one of the more unique bomb setups I’ve seen in a movie to date.
Probably my biggest issue with the film revolves around the main character himself. I had to confirm this after watching the movie, but I’m pretty sure that almost none of the adults who interacted with Conan in this movie knew his secret identity. From what I understand, they thought he was a curious, detail-oriented kid. That’s fine, but there are many scenes in this movie where Conan is talking to other adults or in life-threatening situations without any of the other characters questioning the extent of his involvement. There are even times when people let him look at evidence and investigate at a similar level to other adults in the room. Maybe this was all set up appropriately within the show, but in this movie, Conan made me question the intelligence of every other adult in the room in a way.
Conan remains a very likable character, and he’s fun to watch whether he’s kicking a giant football or piecing together a complex puzzle. That said, I’d say brush up on some of your Box closed Get the knowledge before jumping into this movie to get the full effect. But as far as action mysteries go, I think there’s a reason Close the case Stay at the top of the ladder.
