Bruce TimmBatman: Caped Crusader is a bold new vision for the Dark Knight that does things very different than anything we’ve seen before.
One of the biggest changes to traditional Batman lore is the Caped Crusader’s version of Dr. Harleen Quinzel (aka Harley Quinn). This version of the character is played by Jamie Chungis a famous therapist in Gotham City whose main clients are the rich and powerful…including Bruce Wayne.
It’s really interesting because Dr. Quinzel moonlights as Harley Quinn, who uses her career as a therapist for nefarious purposes. If you haven’t seen the series yet, I won’t spoil it for you.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, Chung talked about working on this new version of the character, saying it was exciting to be able to “flip the switch” and have the opportunity to make Harley without the Joker.
She explained: “What I love about this character is that you could say it’s a feminist character…her pure existence is not centered around a man. I think they’ve definitely changed that, but I also love that she becomes a The origin story of a feminist.
“You can see why she does this job – she wants to use and get all this information to manipulate her clients. She’s Gotham’s Robin Hood, she takes from the rich and gives to herself, she doesn’t need a sugar daddy, she just Mind all these people she is my hero!
When asked about the future of the series and her character, Chung said: “I can tell you what happens. They meet on Eid, she swipes right and they go on this date… I’m kidding !
“No, I don’t know if these characters have met in the series or what will happen in season 2, but I don’t think they have any relationship and I won’t reveal anything. But I hope so.
“So far, they’ve asked me to do an episode for season two, so I really want these two to collide and then she dumps him and he goes into a downward spiral.”
The show’s synopsis reads: “Welcome to Gotham, a city where corruption outnumbers the good guys, where criminals thrive and law-abiding citizens live in constant fear.
Forged in the fires of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both less human and less human – Batman. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions have deadly, unforeseen consequences.
Tim previously explained that the show is set in the early days of Batman’s crime-fighting career: “Batman is still very early in his career, and in the first episode, he’s still an urban myth.”
He continued: “This is not the first year“,Refers frank miller and David Mazzucchelli batman Origin comics. “It’s more like ‘week two.'”
Tim added: “I wanted him to be a little bit weird and creepy. If you were stuck in a room with Batman, whether you were Commissioner Gordon, Barbara Gordon or Renee Montoya , you feel uncomfortable. You’re kind of like, ‘What is this guy?
