Caesars Entertainment Corp. is selling the Linq Promenade, a walkway between the 2,252-room Linq Hotel and the 3,460-room Flamingo. The buyer was a joint venture of TPG Real Estate and Acadia Realty, and the sale price was $275 million.
The promenade opened in 2014 and houses shops, restaurants and attractions, including the High Roller Wheel. Company officials said the sale would not affect the Linq Hotel Casino or High Roller Casino.
“The sale of Linq Promenade represents an accretive, non-core asset sale that will accelerate our debt reduction goals,” said Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club debuts during IMEX
During this month’s IMEX America conference, Caesars hosted an event at the Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club at the Linq Promenade. The venue has two floors, 8,000 square feet, and can accommodate approximately 450 guests. “Beyond the Bar” was a discussion held at a comedy club about the importance of having a sober and inclusive happy hour during events.
Another popular group hangout on the promenade is the Brooklyn Ball, a bar, restaurant, 2,000-seat live music and bowling alley. The only zipline on the Las Vegas Strip, Fly Linq is located 12 floors above the Boardwalk and is a popular team-building activity.
Linq Promenade connects to Caesar Forum
Caesars Forum is located directly behind the promenade and adjacent to the High Roller Ferris Wheel. It covers an area of 550,000 square feet and has two of the world’s largest column-free ballrooms.
“We look forward to working with our new partners at the Linq Promenade to host meetings and events on our Las Vegas campus,” said Kelly Gleeson Smith, Caesars vice president of sales.
