Baldur’s Gate 3 left Early Access in 2023, surprising many — it won GameSpot’s GOTY Award — and even a year later, it’s difficult to get it at a reduced price. If you’ve been waiting for a sale, now might be the time to pounce: GOG is selling Baldur’s Gate 3 for $48, the lowest price yet for the critically acclaimed RPG. Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3’s price is more like a Nintendo game than most AAA games. The 20% discount is only available until September 9th as part of Larian’s Gaming Weekend Sale.
“Baldur’s Gate 3” is an isometric turn-based role-playing game that takes you into the universe of Dungeons and Dragons. This game is particularly impressive because it often gives you a ton of options. You can do some pretty crazy things with your team of heroes depending on which route you decide to take in the game and how you build your character. As we all know, you have plenty of romance options, including characters in bear form.
The GOG discount is 20% off the $60 list price, so while it’s not a huge price cut, it’s still a pretty hefty price cut. If you want to stay in Valve’s walled garden, Baldur’s Gate 3 is also available on Steam for $48. Baldur’s Gate 3 has been verified on Steam Deck, so if you’re a fan of the handheld console, that’s a good reason to buy it here – but you’ll have to deal with Valve’s digital rights management , and GOG games need to deal with these issues. It only takes a few minutes to use the Heroic Games Launcher to get your GOG games up and running on your Steam Deck. The launcher also supports Amazon Games and Epic Games Store, so you can play weekly Epic and monthly Prime Gaming freebies from those stores on Steam Deck as well.
