Just when we thought we’d never see the Armed Detective Agency, Port Mafia, and the rest of the cast of Bungou Stray Dogs again, Bones Studios decided to bring us Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4!
“Bungou Stray Dogs” is adapted from the manga of the same name and tells the story of a group of people with special abilities who are called geniuses. They were called the Armed Detective Agency. After Rat member Fuyod is captured, the Armed Detective Agency believe this is the last they will see of him and the Rats. Little do they know that Fjord is a member of an even more dangerous organization, Angel Decay. Framed as public enemies, an armed detective agency must find a way to survive, prove their innocence, and stop Angel Decay’s plot.
Season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs is a lot of fun. There’s a lot going on this season between the Armed Detective Agency and a new enemy group called Angel’s Curse, and we can’t help but wonder what’s going to happen next.
Different from the previous seasons, the new season of “Bungou Stray Dogs” has a more serious tone, with the armed detective agency racing against time. Even more serious than any other season, each episode has more plot. Like previous seasons, it still has some funny scenes; in fact, those comedic scenes in the middle are a nice break and keep things fresh and enjoyable. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of interesting scenes this season.
Even though we haven’t seen a lot of funny scenes this season, the fact that the tone of the show has turned serious lets us know that we’re in an important part of the story. We’re not sure if we’re approaching a major climax or a major turning point in the story. For now, though, even with the change in tone, it doesn’t take our attention away from the show and it’s still worth watching.
Over the past few seasons of Bungou Stray Dogs, a society of armed detectives have used their skills and abilities to try to solve cases and defeat their enemies. It usually takes them an entire season to solve the mysteries of the case and defeat their enemies, but even then, they usually wrap up within a season. We thought it would be the same this season, but we were wrong.
This season is the longest case the Armed Detective Agency has had to overcome. This season has a lot of twists and turns, some we didn’t see coming or expect. Just when we think they’re going to do one thing, they surprise us by twisting the mystery in unexpected ways, and vice versa. Just when we think they’ve finally figured something out, they add more to the puzzle. This is mainly due to Fjord, who is like a second Osamu Dazai. Because of this, a lot of things keep happening that make us wonder whether it’s the corruption of the angels or the Armed Detective Agency that wins.
The highlight of the season is the battle between the Armed Detective Agency and the Fallen Angels. Yes, there are government officials like the Hounds, and there’s the Port Mafia, but the battle is between the Detective Agency and the Fallen Angel. Many instances even show us that certain actions of the characters were planned. This means whoever takes the lead first will win the entire battle, so it’s up to Dazai to figure out Fjord’s plan. Even if the season is over, this raises the question: How exactly does Fjord communicate with the other members of Angel’s Decay?
We won’t know until the next season or two. All we know is that it’s probably a season or two away, and this is the first of the series itself.
Season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs is full of mysteries and surprises. The plot becomes more complicated as the battle between the Armed Detective Agency and the Fallen Angels continues. Unlike other seasons of Bungou Stray Dogs, we didn’t expect this one to last more than one season. It’s no wonder they’ve already announced that season five will launch this summer, a series that usually takes a year or two to produce. The question now is, who will win? We may have to wait until this summer to find out.
