BTS continues to keep fans satisfied during their forced military enlistment, this time through a documentary that follows the group’s leader, RM.
documentary RM: Right person, wrong place It will premiere at the Busan International Film Festival. Invited to participate in the festival’s Open Cinema section, the film documents the making of the global superstar’s second solo album Right place, wrong person.
CJ 4DPLEX, a subsidiary of South Korean conglomerate CJ Group, and Hybe, a brand owned by BTS, announced the news on Tuesday.
“It’s a huge honor RM: Right person, wrong place “This is the first documentary focusing on a K-pop artist to be officially selected for a major outdoor premiere at the Busan International Film Festival,” Hybe Media Studio General Manager Gyewon Suh said in a statement. “This film truly depicts RM, And with director Lee Seok-jun’s unique visual style, we’ve created a truly unconventional but extraordinary film that we hope will resonate deeply with audiences.
RM: Right person, wrong place “Explores BTS leader RM’s candid journey as he navigates the complexities of becoming a global superstar,” according to a press release. The film will give fans a chance to see the rapper in the eight months leading up to his enlistment.
RM’s real name is Kim Namjoon and he enlisted in the army at the end of last year. Six of the seven members of BTS are currently serving in the military.
RM: Right person, wrong place Directed by Lee Seok-joon and produced by Hybe. Lee has previously produced music videos for another BTS member, J-Hope. The film will hit theaters worldwide later this year, according to a press release.

RM and his team members were spotted welcoming BTS’s oldest member, Jin, who retired from the military earlier this summer. BTS members Jimin and Jungkook are stars of newly released Disney+ show are you sure?taken in 2023 before the singer enlisted in the army. The eight-episode travel series will run until September 19.
