Maserati was founded in Bologna, Italy in 1914. The company was originally an automotive workshop specializing in the production of racing cars.
The Maserati brothers Alfieri, Ettore and Ernesto had a passion for engineering and motorsport, which had a major influence on their early innovations. Under their leadership, Maserati quickly established itself in the competitive racing world, winning major victories, including the famous Targa Florio.
The brand’s iconic trident logo, designed by Mario Maserati, symbolizes strength and was inspired by Bologna’s Neptune Fountain.
Alfieri Maserati, one of the founding brothers and a talented engineer, played a particularly important role in the company’s early success. His vision and technical expertise led Maserati to develop cutting-edge engines and designs that define the brand’s identity.
After Alfieri’s untimely death in 1932, his brothers inherited the company and continued to enhance Maserati’s reputation for creating world-class sports cars and luxury automobiles.
The company has gone through several changes of ownership throughout its history, but it remains synonymous with Italian craftsmanship, luxury and speed, producing iconic models such as the GranTurismo and Quattroporte, revered by enthusiasts and collectors around the world.
The film will soon be shot in Bologna. The rest of the cast is still under wraps.
