Joe Bernthal Returning to the role of Frank Castle (aka The Punisher) in Marvel’s upcoming movie Daredevil: Rebirth series, in a recent interview he talked about the show and believes it will make fans very happy.
While previously talking about the series, Marvel chief Kevin Feige Said: “In Daredevil: Rebirthwe’re taking the essence of the original series but forging a completely new path for Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk.
The new Disney+ series also brings back Karen Page (Deborah Ann Wall), Fudge Nelson (Elden Hansen) and bullseye (Wilson Bethel), and has been described as more like a Netflix version of a revival than a reboot Daredevil.
Following Marvel Studios’ D23 presentation, Bernthal spoke with Marvel Entertainment about the series:
“I think if you’re a fan of the show that you’ve seen before, you’re going to like this too. I think we’re just taking it a step further. We’re all here and we’re all working really hard and happy to be with each other, and if you’re a fan of us , we will be proud of what we do. [Marvel’s Daredevil]you will be very happy.
After watching the clips released on D23, fans seem very excited about the show and the direction the creative team is taking.
Head of Producing, Marvel Television, Streaming and Animation Brad WinderbaumWe’ve previously talked about the series, saying it will look at Daredevil and Kingpin’s nemesis in a new “political” light.
Winderbaum compared the show to X-Men ’97: “‘Daredevil’ is incredible. It’s in some ways the same as X-Men ’97 Because it’s reviving something that fans love. But it’s taking it in a new direction.
He went on to tease how things have changed, saying, “These characters have matured and the universe is different than it was before. Things have changed, society has changed. Matt and Wilson have changed.
“Their characters will clash in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try to murder each other. This is a political game.
The new collection is reportedly inspired by Demon’s Reign The storyline explores the power dynamics between the Kingpin and the vigilantes who confront him. The story revolves around the power struggle between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk, who later became the mayor of New York.
Daredevil: Rebirth Developed by director Justin Benson and Aaron Mooreheadwho has worked in both Moon Knight and Loki.
