To date, it has brought in just under $33 million, split evenly between the U.S. ($15 million) and international markets ($17 million). This number is especially surprising since the movie is based on a popular video game that was supposed to translate into excitement in the movie, was directed by Eli Roth and has stars including Cate Blanchett , Gina Gershon and Jamie Lee Curtis include a surprisingly killer cast.
