Lan Yi, The Aussie dog will become the newest Disney movie star in 2027.
BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company are creating Bluey’s first animated feature film.
Bluey Creator Joe Blum will serve as writer and director of the film.
“I always thought Bluey Worthy of a dramatic movie. I want this to be an experience that the whole family can enjoy together,” Bloom said.
After the film is released, it will be available to stream on Disney+, where Bluey It is currently the most watched drama series in the world. In the United States, the show was the most-watched streaming series of the year among total viewers through November.
“Since debuting on Disney Jr. and Disney+, Bluey has become a global phenomenon, uniting families around the world through its heartfelt stories of play, imagination and connection,” said United Children’s Ellen Bergman and Dana WaldenDisney Entertainment’s pilot. “We are extremely proud to expand our partnership with BBC Studios to bring the magic to our Lan Yi On to the big screen – real life!
BBC Studios is providing financing and distribution rights for the film. The Australian Government is supporting the project through Producer Offset and Screen Australia, while the Queensland Government is providing additional support through Screen Queensland’s postal, digital and visual effects incentives
