Have you been waiting for when the fourth season of “Blue Exorcist” will be released? Good news, Aniplex has finally announced the news, along with the season’s ending theme.
When Blue Exorcist first aired over a decade ago, it was (unsurprisingly) even more popular than it is now. The series did lose a lot of momentum, as the second season was released a full six years after the first in 2017, and the third was released seven years later (in January of this year). It’s been known for a while that the wait for Season 4 wouldn’t be that long, and thankfully the release window for Season 4 is October, and earlier today, Aniplex finally confirmed the exact date: October 5th. The brief message sets the theme for the season finale in a new trailer, which you can check out below.

The upcoming fourth season will be divided into two courses, the first is “Legends of Beyond Snow” and then “Legends of Blue Nights”. The second part is scheduled to air sometime in January 2025, and most anime Crunchyroll regular homepages will have it. You can hear the ending theme song “Tsurara” partially in the trailer, sung by Yobahi, and it sounds emotional to say the least.

If you’ve never heard of the series before, English-language manga publisher Viz Media describes the story this way: “Raised by famed exorcist Father Fujimoto, Ryu Okumura never knew his real father. One day, Okumura A fatal quarrel between Murasaki and Father Fujimoto forces Okumura to face a terrible fact – the blood of the demon lord Satan flows in Rin’s veins. Rin vows to defeat Satan, but doing so means that Rin must enter Enter the mysterious True Cross Academy, become an exorcist, and keep your hellish heritage a secret.
It’s unclear how many episodes the anime will have, but based on the air dates of both parts, it seems likely to be longer than Season 3’s 12 episodes (assuming there are no major interruptions).
