Often, bugs are either game-breaking, fun, or extremely inconvenient for the player. However, Diablo 4’s latest bug has proven to be beneficial and welcome. So much so that Activision Blizzard has stated that it will not release a fix during the game’s fifth season, “Season of the Hell Tribe.”
Via Kotaku, Diablo 4 allows players to upgrade their gear with Legendary Tempering recipes each season. Essentially, the system allows players to decide which affixes they want to attach to their gear. It was only introduced in Diablo 4 Season 4, and was supposed to reset the recipe for Season 5. This makes leveling much easier than it used to be.
Although “Season of the Hell Tribe” was only launched today, sharp-eyed “Diablo 4” players immediately noticed this error. After the news broke, Blizzard finally had to respond. Fortunately, the company doesn’t plan to do anything about it. Global community development director Adam Fletcher confirmed that the error was not intentional, before adding that the company was “letting the issue slide.”
We’re aware of reports that new seasonal character blending recipes are carried over from last season’s seasonal characters.
This was not the original design or intention, so I don’t expect this to be the case in future seasons, but we’ll let this slide…— Adam Fletcher (@PezRadar) August 6, 2024
Regardless, Fletcher made it clear that the recipe reset will resume when the next season of Hateboat arrives in October. At the same time, it sounds like players will enjoy playing Hell Tribe Season with more powerful gear than usual.
