Binance’s Monitoring Tags: What You Need to Know
Tokens with monitoring tags show significantly higher volatility and risk than other tokens. Binance closely monitors these tokens, and may exclude them if they do not meet their standards. Users can find monitoring tags on the Binance Spot and Binance margin trading pages as well as the Market Overview page. Additionally, Binance displays a risk warning banner for all tokens with monitoring tags.
For users who want to obtain transaction access tokens using monitoring tags, they must strictly abide by the following requirements: (i) take a quiz every 90 days through a two-person site/binance margin and (ii) accept binary terms of use. The quiz is designed to ensure that users are fully aware of the risks before trading with the token Monitoring tags.
Binance evaluates several key aspects before assigning or deleting monitoring tags, including:
- Team’s commitment to the project
- Development activities and their quality
- Trading volume and liquidity
- Network stability and security against attacks
- Smart contract reliability
- Transparency and public communication
- Response to Binance’s regular due diligence requests
- Evidence of immoral or fraudulent behavior
- Contribution to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem
Starting from March 4, 2025, Binance will adjust the monitoring tag review process to monthly cycles based on community feedback. Binance will add new projects in the first week of each month, while they will continue to review surveillance tags and seed tags to be removed quarterly.
Monitoring tags are suitable for high-risk tokens and face greater chances of shedding if they do not meet Binance standards. Please trade responsibly and stay informed.
