It’s the height of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and many platform holders like to run promotions in their stores at this time. Nintendo is no exception, and this year it decided to theme its summer sales around the concept of playing together. In fact, that’s what it’s called: the “Let’s Play” promotion. With massive discounts available, we are here again to provide you with some guidance on the matter. In the spirit of “let’s play together,” we’ve selected fifteen of the best-selling items in no particular order.
Snipperclips – Slice it all together! (from $19.99 $13.99)
It’s a very early game and it feels like a lot of people have already played it, but it’s also old enough that many new Switch owners might not notice it. Scissor clip It’s so much fun to play with another human being. Each stage provides a certain goal that you must achieve by cutting each other’s characters into shapes suitable for the job. You fail more often than you succeed, but this is a game where failure itself can be a lot of fun.
Mario Tennis Aces (from $39.99, $59.99)
Some of the earliest video games in existence were essentially tennis games, and it’s amazing that the simple idea of hitting the ball back and forth has retained its luster over the decades. mario tennis ace It received a lot of criticism at the time of release for being a bit thin, which is fair enough. That said, with the amount of content added through the free patch coupled with this discounted price, I think I can safely recommend it to anyone looking to play an arcade-style game with friends or family.
Windjammers (from $5.09, from $14.99)
The sequel is also out, and it’s pretty good, but there’s still something about the original windbreaker This is undeniable. Another game where you essentially send an object back and forth between players, but here it’s a Frisbee. It’s properly inspired to just the right degree, and the result is a game that’s roughly thirty years old but still as good as ever. Gather a few players together and you’ll be busy for hours.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition (from $41.99, from $59.99)
I’ll admit, it’s both a deep and fun single-player game and a multiplayer mayhem, but grabbing a friend to play this game with you is a riot in itself. this warrior The nature of the game is all about controlling the battlefield, and having another ostensibly intelligent person present can make things more interesting. And hey, when everyone goes home, you can keep the party going with the plethora of characters and quests on offer. The ultimate version of a great game that rarely comes out.
Cuphead (from $13.99, from $19.99)
cuphead Can be a very annoying game, but it will keep you coming back for more regardless. If you’re going to be depressed, it’s better to be depressed with a friend, don’t you think? Granted, the game is usually more difficult with a second player because you do need to agree on strategy, but you don’t necessarily have to win to have fun. At least that’s what I was told when I threw my partner out the front door because he got us both killed during one of the stages of a boss fight.
Clubhouse Games: 51 Global Classic Games (from $27.99, from $39.99)
What I’m saying is this: This is hands down one of the best values you’ll find on a Nintendo Switch. You can enjoy so many great games in one low-price package that it’s easy to find something you like, whether you play by yourself or with others. While most of the selection leans toward classic board games, there are some other interesting variations in the lineup, making the overall package varied enough to satisfy most people’s needs. In fact, many games are well-known outside of the gaming world, so this is an excellent option when your users don’t typically play games.
Mario Golf: Super Dash (from $39.99, $59.99)
To be sure, this… wasn’t Mario’s greatest golf performance. It’s different than what we’re used to, and sometimes it feels like it’s done just for the sake of being different. However, if you dig into the content, there’s definitely a lot to dig into. The frenetic run from each shot to the next makes for a wild multiplayer experience, and if nothing else, you certainly can’t accuse it of being just another golf game. Full price is a bit hard to bite, but it might be worth a try when it’s on sale.
Persona 4: Arena Ultimax (from $8.99, from $29.99)
Playing together doesn’t always mean cooperation, so let’s throw in a fighting game here to keep everyone on their toes. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a great fighter with lots of modes and features to enjoy. While its performance isn’t quite up to par with some other versions of the game, it still performs well relative to other Switch games in the genre. Some of the missing online features will be more concerning for those planning to take the fight into the digital space, but those taking the fight locally will have a great time. Overall, it’s been a strong recovery persona Fans and those looking for mobile boxing sports alike.
Nintendo Switch Sports (from $27.99, $39.99)
Although I am personally satisfied with the current situation Nintendo Switch Sports When it was launched, I couldn’t argue with those who thought it would be better to offer more movement. A fully functional golf mode and later a cute basketball mode, I think it’s a stronger value proposition for the average person. Add in the discount, and you have a game worthy of being in the collection of any fan of its Wii predecessors. It’s perfect for party nights with players of varying skill levels.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge (from $16.24, $24.99)
I would recommend this game until everyone on earth owns at least a copy. I’d recommend it again here, but to be fair it fits the theme very well. Up to six people can play this game together, and it doesn’t matter how well or poorly they play, because it’s fun either way. It’s an easy game to pick up and start enjoying at a basic level, but there are plenty of options for those who want to invest the time and effort into experiencing it. Covabonga! Eat my shorts! Wait, that’s Bart. Someone should make a new one The Simpsons However, defeat them. Then I will two A game that drives everyone.
Requires two ($39.99 from $19.99)
While I find myself a little… confused by the game’s story and its gameplay, there’s one thing I can’t deny: the gameplay is awesome. Most platformers that dabble in multiplayer try to create challenges for both single and multiplayer players, need two Laser focuses on designing its stages around tasks that two players can complete together. So it’s a very unique experience and very satisfying to experience with friends or family. Just make sure you set aside enough time to go through the whole thing with them.
Disney’s Island of Illusion (from $27.99, $39.99)
It’s a multiplayer platform adventure game whose gentle difficulty curve combined with the familiarity of the characters involved makes it easily accessible to younger players. The game’s sense of style is something else entirely, and its cutscenes are often very entertaining. It feels good to play too, and the sound mechanics make running and jumping fun. Excellent transfer service at great value for money.
DC Justice League: Cosmic Chaos (from $9.99, $39.99)
This is another game worth checking out for younger gamers, especially if you have a superhero fan. cosmic chaos To be honest, I was surprised in the end. Its publisher is not known for high standards of quality, but the book turned out very well. It would have been a solid rental for a comic book fan of the time, and ten bucks was about in that price range if inflation was taken into account. And you don’t even have to drive it back to the store on Monday!
Samba de Amigo: Party Central (from $15.99, from $39.99)
I didn’t pay particular attention to the game’s sales numbers, but my gut told me it wasn’t exactly well-received. It’s a shame, because this is a pretty good update for the game that requires a lot of requirements to be enjoyed properly. Here, you just use the Joy-Cons and shake them as if they were maracas in your mind. You also get an updated tracklist with lots of fun tunes to rock and pose to, and there’s some nice DLC to buy if you want to expand on it. While it’s not as precise as the original game with a Maracas controller, playing with friends takes a lot of that precision away. At this price, it’s relatively easy to recommend.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble ($37.49, $49.99 through 8/12)
More Sega? Of course, let’s party like it’s 1999. super monkey ball Finally got a brand new entry for the first time in years banana rumble, and it’s high-quality stuff. Like previous games in the series, there’s plenty to dig into whether you’re alone or in a room full of friends. Monkeys rolling around in balls are fundamentally fun, and Sega embraced this concept in many silly and/or ridiculous ways. This is the lowest price yet, so if you like the series, now is a great time to join the latest primate party.
