The 192-page comic, drawn by Studio Gaga under the supervision of renowned comic book creator Mori, continues Berserker’s fantasy. Things take a turn for the better after Silk and Farnese battle their endless fears to learn the dark secrets that have imprisoned Casca’s mind since the events of Doomsday Call. Casca regains her sanity and Guts finds a glimmer of hope, but Griffith’s sudden appearance overshadows this small victory. The Isle of Spirits is under siege by an army of beasts, and Guts and company must make some tough choices if they hope to escape to the sea.
The story of the sequel to “Berserk” is interesting because before Miura’s death, Mori embraced the plans and ideas of the “Berserk” creator himself. With additional material such as memos and character designs left by Miura, as well as the secret of how Miura planned to end Berserker, Mori agreed to continue the series and promised: “I will only write the episodes that Miura talked about to me. I will not write the ones that I If I can’t remember the plot clearly, I will only write the lines and story that Miura described to me.

Still, this adaptation is closer to the manga and worth checking out if you want a more faithful adaptation.
