Behind-the-scenes footage of Netflix’s upcoming animated series has been released One Piece. The video showcases WIT Studio’s work on the project, and it looks like it will be a beautifully animated series.
The video comes with the following description: “Straw Hat Crew, we have some exciting news! WIT Studio embarks on a new adventure that brings One Piece to life like you’ve never seen before.
“Get ready to enter the world of Oda Sensei through the eyes of director Masashi Koizuka and the incredible team at WIT Studio.”
The “One Piece” production committee, composed of representatives from Shueisha, Fuji TV and Toei Animation, stated, One Piece “will be radically different from the TV animated series,” creating “a fresh yet familiar experience that utilizes cutting-edge visual technology to reimagine Luffy’s adventures in the beloved Tokai Saga.”
“One Piece” is set in a fantasy world, telling the fantasy adventure of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew exploring strange islands and endless oceans, looking for the ultimate treasure “One Piece” and becoming the next Pirate King. The project does not yet have a release date.
The series is inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga and is different from the current animated series. One of the biggest differences we’ve seen so far is the visual style, and it will be interesting to see how the story is handled.
