Mondo releases stunning print of Disney’s classic 1959 animated film sleeping Beauty. The artwork was created by artist Eva Vilhelmiina and was originally offered as a limited edition print at D23 Expo.
Although the poster art is sold out, I did want to share it here for you all to see. The artist shared the following information on the print:
“I painted this Sleeping Beauty poster for @mondonews which will be available as a limited edition screen print at D23. Big thanks to @jlmanderville and @consumedesign for their art direction and the beautiful typography.
“I have long been an admirer of Eyvind Earle’s art and his influence is evident in my work. His contribution to Sleeping Beauty will certainly continue to inspire others.
“Not only that, I think Sleeping Beauty is one of the most iconic villain designs, and the artists deserve credit – Maleficent was designed by Mark Davis, and the dragon was designed by Ken Anderson work.
“It’s really fun to draw the Maleficent dragon like this and it has to be one of my favorite dragon designs.”
Maleficent is undoubtedly one of the coolest Disney villains of all time, and she’s perfectly represented in this poster art.
