He’s not the first fictional character to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – Bugs Bunny, Kermit the Frog and Mickey Mouse are just a few. On Thursday, September 26, the Batman star will appear on the famous boulevard; it’s the 2,790th star, so it’s time for a superhero to step up. (You can imagine Superman’s publicist is probably working overtime to get him next on the list.)
According to DC’s press release, DC President, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee and DC’s Senior Vice President and General Manager Anne DePies will attend the event, as will “Batman” himself (no word on ) will represent what kind of outfit, but a classic look feels like the right choice). Additionally, “Batman will be honored with the Guinness Book of World Records title of becoming the first superhero to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” the latest Guinness World Record awarded to the character, as well as being the “most adapted comic book character.” ” “In live-action movies and so on.
